Від намірів до дій.

Законодавча асамблея штату Орегон (США) ухвалила резолюцію про побратимство між нашими регіонами. Від усієї громади області щиро дякую за підтримку та солідарність. Для нас це надважливо.

Попереду ще багато роботи та діалогових зустрічей. Утім надважливий крок уже зроблений. І це велике досягнення у наших перемовинах. Воно було б неможливе без потужної підтримки та просування питання підтримки України в Америці з боку президентки громадської організації «DAWN» Юлії Брокдорф.

Нині пані Юлія в Україні. Мали спільну зустріч. З рук у руки отримав від неї копію резолюції про побратимство. Окреслили наступні кроки подальшої комунікації з Орегоном. Зокрема, в галузі сільського господарства, медицини, освіти та ін. Так наш діалог про взаємодію набуває більш чітких цілей.

Звісно, це робота «в довгу». Разом ми зараз закладаємо основу майбутньої співпраці, обміну досвідом, дружніх стосунків між нашими регіонами.

Intentions that lead to actions.

The Oregon Legislative Assembly has adopted a resolution establishing a ceremonial relationship between our regions. On behalf of the entire community of Cherkasy region, I sincerely thank you for your support and solidarity. This is extremely important to us.

Much more work and meetings, where we will discuss our cooperation, await us in the future. Though, one of the most important steps has already been made. This is a major achievement in our negotiations, which would not have been possible without the strong support and advocacy for Ukraine in the United States provided by Ms. Yulia Brockdorf, director of Oregon NGO DAWN, Inc.

Ms. Yulia is currently in Ukraine. During our joint meeting she personally presented me with a copy of Senate Concurrent Resolution 23. We defined the next steps of our further communication with the State of Oregon, in particular, in the spheres of agriculture, healthcare, education etc. In such a way our interaction is gaining more clear goals.

Sure, all this requires time. Together we are now laying the foundation for further cooperation, exchange of experience and friendly relationships between our regions.
